the way sadness works on a coffee tumbler

Lagi bosen banget sama kerjaan di lab, padahal ada 2 deadline yang harus dikejar sebelum bulan Juni ini berakhir, plus satu lagi ujian TOEFL (yang bakal menentukan gue pergi atau nggak ke Melbourne). Akhirnya gue memutuskan buat menggambari cover tumbler gratisan gue (dapet dari beli oreo 3 biji). Seperti inilah outcome dari procrastination gue sore ini:

Udah lama banget gue nggak gambar, gambar gue jadi sangat ancur-ancuran. Orang yang gue gambar pun terlihat kayak Suneo yang di Doraemon. Tapi kalo diliat dari jauh tetep keren sih, cuma warna tumblernya aja salah, kuning gitu. Coba item, pasti bakal lebih keren lagi. Dan quote yang gue tulis itu potongan quotenya Lemony Snicket di buku A Series of Unfortunate Events yang ke-11, The Grim Grotto. Ini quote lengkapnya:

Tadinya sih gue mau tulis quotenya C.S Lewis yang "to love is to be vulnerable", tapi enggak jadi ah, soalnya terlalu gimana gitu gue tulis itu di tumbler yang akan gue pake buat minum kopi sore-sore. Akhirnya setelah browsing-browsing di Goodreads, quote ini yang gue pilih. Kenapa gue milih quote ini? Lagi sedihkah gue? Hahaha enggak kok, gue emang selalu attracted to sad things seperti yang pernah gue bilang di postingan gue yang ini. Jangan khawatir, itu bukan personality disorder kok, rata-rata orang melankolis itu attracted to sad things, termasuk gue sebagai melankolis sejati down to the blood cells.
