peeking my workbag

Hi. They say if you want to know someone, take a closer look into that person's stuffs. Today is the special day when I finally let you guys know what's inside my workbag. I'm the type of person who carry only essential things, so all of these stuffs are obviously important to my existence. Let's take a peep!

Here's my workbag! It's from Everbest and it's so spacious I can fit everything inside it freely!

Inside the bag: a folder containing music sheets, ungraded homework, and research papers; my daily journal; a micron pen (I LOVE micron pens!); makeup (two way cake & a red lipstick is enough for me); hand sanitizer (the utmost important thing in this bag!); brolly; paperback novel; wallet; minyak telon (Indonesian baby oil that smells sooooooo good!); keys; and my daily planner!

Inside the folder...

Book I'm currently reading: Burgess' A Clockwork Orange. Intense!

The first page on my daily journal

From those stuffs, can you imagine what kind of woman I am? :)

missing manuscript

"Give us this day, Lord, our daily miracle. and forgive us if we are not always capable of recognizing it..."
-- Paulo Coelho (Manuscript Found in Accra)

Hello.

It's been a while since my last post in this blog. Lots of thing have happened in my life since then. I graduated, I came back home, I leave my beloved Melbourne friends, I got my heart broken, I finally had my dream job as a math lecturer, I got really nice students and coworkers, I became a soprano in a choir community called Jakarta International Choral Community and had a 70s themed concert last month. See? Lots.

I am currently ready a really really good book: Paulo Coelho's "Manuscript Found in Accra". That book is amazing. Unlike Coelho's other books that I have read: The Zahir, The Devil and Miss Prym, and By The River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept, the English of this book is completely understandable. And what I like the most about this book is the theme of the book itself. It's about everything. Life, love, miracle, dreams, anxiety, fear, dissapointment, you mention it, it's all in this book. Totally worth reading. Also, I got like Rp.50.000 discount from a bookshop near my office called Books and Beyond. They're now having a promo on that book until the 14th of May, so for those who are curious about the book, I recommend you to buy this book, because this book is the kind of book which you'll read over and over again whenever you need some winged wise words for a stressful, cloudy day.

I tell you. Totally worth reading.

One Day at the National Gallery

Today I went to the national gallery of Victoria to investigate neo-impressionism paintings for my research. For those who don't know, I study pointillism and divisionism art style to be adapted in computers. To put it simply, let's say that my work is to teach a machine to draw like a neo-impressionist painter. Sadly, they didn't allow me to take any picture in the neo-impressionism exhibition room :( but I took many picture of my girl Wilhelmina in the European gallery!

I can't believe they paint their gallery PINK!

Tired?

Perseus and Wilhelmina

She really liked this room I think

"They should belong together, Tieta. In one painting. Not separated like that..."

"oh God, what's wrong with you old lady?"

"Such a fine detail! Amazing!"

Wilhelmina and a very pretty portrait of a girl
